Maverick, late 2010 MBP, 8 GB RAM, Samsung 250GB SSD, recent full re-install

For a week now screenshots do neither arrive in the specially allocated FOLDER (done with a bit of sudo during OSX.8, can't remember what) nor on the desktop.

I can take a screenshot, watch it appear in the special folder and then VANISH?! Like it was being moved or auto-deleted.

But searching for the day-month-year-code of a screenshot from today gives no results. They vanish.

But where to and how?

Anybody?

Do you have Dropbox installed? There's a new feature on the latest Dropbox version where your screenshots are shared automatically so they are moved to the specially created folder for that inside the main Dropbox folder on your Mac.

You would have to turn on that option some time. Maybe you did and forgot? Or maybe it's just not that.
