Sorry for the rather basic question, but I haven't been able to find the answer. Would a screenshot or screencast on a high-resolution computer like a rMBP be of a better quality than a screenshot or screencast on, say, a 2013 MBA or pre-retina MBP? I want to produce high resolution movies/images that aren't blurry. Partly, I think it's settings of the software that is responsible rather than the quality of the display, but I'm not sure.

And does anyone have advice about the best practices (display settings, etc.) for producing screencasts for training or screenshots that would be included in PDFs or PowerPoint/Keynote presentations? I'm sure the answer is quite involved, so links to resources are welcome.

Thanks
