Does anyone know of a free Screenwriting program that is actually worth downloading?

I had been using Final Draft, but the version I have doesn't work with OSX, and I don't feel like shelling out money for a new version.

Thanks!:apple:

Yes, actually!

Give Montage a whirl. I highly recommend it. It also imports Final Draft files.

Unfortunately the full version carries a hefty price of $139... not free, sorry. :(

Do you like it better than final draft? If so why?

Well frankly I've never used it, but I remember one of my friends using it for a movie project of his. Mariner Software is a very reputable company. I believe you can download a free trial on their site and decide for yourself.

might work

there is this website called http://celtx.com. i hope this works well for you

I have Final Draft but don't actually like using it. I've used Celtx in the past but have had a couple of issues with it. Now for the majority of the time I just use the Screenplay template in Pages.
