I ordered a Elevator weeks ago. I emailed them a few days ago asking why I havn't gotten it yet. They say oh maybe the email got lost but its on backordered and they won't have shipments till nextmonth.

Anyone been through this getting an elevator?
 
Man that sucks. I really don't like the new one. I still love the iCurve and now they stopped making it :(
 
I've heard buy.com has them in stock, and you can get another $10 off by signing up for a new Google checkout account.
 
Dammit! I just ordered one last night! I guess I should cancel my order if it's gonna take a month, I need it for next week. Too bad you can't track your order online with them - you have to email and inquire.

1/24 - estimated arrival
 
Awww, I'm sorry about your experience. :( They make very nice products, although I have never bought anything of theirs directly from them. Hopefully you get one soon somehow.
 
I remember when they introduced the mystical itrip. several years later they finally sent it out.
 
Wish I could check out the Elevator in person...oh well, iCurve serves the same purpose (to look sexy) :p
 
I greatly prefer the iCurve to the Elevator anyway, I'm glad I picked up another iCurve, I just really prefer the looks.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure they have them in stock at my local apple store... maybe you should try there or order it from apple online.
 
I ordered an Elevator from OWC on Jan 15th. It shipped the next day. Haven't received it yet though since I am currently stationed in Russia and mail takes an extra 1-2 weeks to get to me.
 
i ordered an Elevator on friday from Griffin's website and just called them to see what the status of the order was and the guy said it would ship today or tomorrow.

edit: just got an e-mail saying the item was shipped. tracking with FedEx - should be here by Wednesday.

Well, I emailed them about my status, and told them to cancel if it was going to take more than a week to ship, but it turns out it already has shipped, and will be here Wednesday! So I'm a happy camper. Too bad I won't have a laptop to put on it for a while, but when I do, I'll be ready for it!
 
My Elevator has shipped too :D
I was in tampa this weekend and I went to the Apple store to see if they had any elevators. They only had an ilap. I visited the New York Apple store while on vacation, I wish my local one waslike that :eek:
The iCurve is great, just everything of mine is either white or polished steel so I thought the elevator would look good.
 
Mine got here today, and it looks great!

Now I just need to finish piecing my PowerBook back together... if I could just find all the parts.

Whoo :cool: I also got mine today.
I like it, although I sorta with Griffin went all steel instead of the clear plastic base at the front. Clear plastic reminds me of the 90's.
I also noticed Griffins new box layouts. The Elevator game in a really nice box :D

I just finished my book shelve so I figured It took long enough to get together that I'd add it into my picture. The desk is usually not this empty.
