Script Editor has crashed a few times, and twice the windows have gone clear so I can see through them to the desktop. I can still see the edges of the windows but none of their content.
M1 mac 14 inch 2021. It came with Monterey. Currently running Monterey 12.6.1
At first, it was a small issue of Script Editor typing any keystroke command so quickly that it transposed elements of the phrase in quotes such that keystroke "ABCyz” keystroked as AyzBC. This happened frequently.
Also, when I would duplicate a script, the margins of the new script would get much larger making the script much narrower, during its creation.
Then Saturday, Script Editor crashed. The Script Editor windows that were open became see-through but you could tell where the window borders were. It was unresponsive. I clicked the Apple menu, also unresponsive. I had to open a different app to be able to click the Apple menu to force quit the Script Editor app. Rebooted. Script Editor allowed me to open the script.
Sunday: first time clicking an Applescript in Finder, it wouldn't open. Rebooted. Script editor opens.
Monday: SE was working fine until I duplicated a script then SE acted wonky again. Able to normal quit through Activity Monitor.
Tried opening Script Editor again without rebooting and it had another issue. This time after affirming quit, it didn't quit, and control click wouldn't quit, so I had to force quit the app, but I think it may have been because I had an unsaved script and wouldn't have been able to read the clear box.
Tried SE again without rebooting. It asked to reopen windows. Yes. See-through windows again, with multiple extra windows that I had not opened. The title of one of the drafts was displayed but the rest of window was see-through.
Shut down. Restart. Script Editor asked to reopen windows. Clicked don't open. It opened my unnamed document draft. Worked fine.
