Hello everyone
I was wondering if you could help me.
I'm trying to create a script to raise the fan speed on my mac mini to max from 10PM to 6:30AM on weekdays.

I have a few ideas:
Maybe it could involve a script to just open and close SMC fan control. I can set the Max RPM as default, therefore when SMC is open, it ramps up the fans. Once it is closed, the mini returns to normal.

Could someone please advise me on how to do this? The SMC fan control sounds like the best method, and I can use automator to run the scripts.
I just basically need to know how to make one to open and close SMC fan control again, at certain times.

At the moment, I have iCal set to open and quit an Automator application work flow at the specified times. I was wondering if there was a better way to do this.
Thanks!
