Script to set up CUPS printers

I'm looking to automate configuring two network printers via CUPS.

I essentially want someone to be able to double click on an application/installer that'll ask for their network username/password (our printers require authentication), then create the appropriate queues in CUPS along with the drivers.

I'm looking at what automator could do for me, but open to suggestions on what the best way to do this is.

You might want to take a look at the lpadmin command and use it as part of a 'Run Shell Script" action. I'm no expert on using lpadmin so I'll leave you to study the man page!
