I am trying to import iCal request files received by email from Entourage into iCal. The format of the file does not allow iCal to recognise all day events so I have written a script to fix this and automatically import the file into iCal but I can't figure out how to import the event to a specific calendar. They all go into the default calendar. I tried adding the calendar specification to the ics file but it is ignored. I tried selecting the calendar in iCal and telling it to open the ics instead of just telling the application to open the file but still the event gets imported into the default calendar. If I drag the file and drop on to a calendar it works but I want to this from a script.
The script editor's event window shows 'missing value' immediately after importing the file but I don't know how to identify what the missing value is or if this could be part of my problem.
Is it possible to do this or am I wasting my time?
