Okay, so I got a good Open Terminal Here folder action going. It's great.

My next project has driven me nuts. Searching the net is confusing me more because I can't piece what I have together. Perhaps someone with more experience with this can come up with a script that works.

I like AppZapper, but the developers have been taking years (literally) to add a background service that launches the app when an app is dragged to the trash.

SOOOO, I know how to attach a folder action (through automator no less) to the hidden user trash folder.

I am looking to create a script that will launch AppZapper and open that application with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE;
So it was easier than I thought. No need to script anything as Automators default actions let me specify .app only and then open that with AppZapper.

NOW the problem lies with the speed at which this occurs. At one point, I dragged an app into the folder and it took 15 minutes. I read launchd is a better alternative for this type of folder action, but that it doesn't pass on the name of the files to other applications.

Does anyone know how to speed this up?

I NEED HELP!

In more ways than one, but back to this, my automator folder action only ran once. It has not run since. Even after reboots and moving an app into the trash and leaving it there for 2 hours. Does anyone know how to make this work?
