scripts icon

all of a sudden, an apple scripts icon appeared on the top toolbar of my desktop and i dont know how to remove it from the gray bar. when i click on it, the options are 'open scripts folder,' etc. does anyone know how to remove this icon?

Command-drag it out of the menu bar
