Scroll delay on Macbook Pro in browsers

Recently, I have found that scrolling in firefox or safari is not smooth. It kind of jumps as if it can't quite keep up or something, even when the entire page is loaded. I use the trackpad scrolling with two fingers. I don't think it could be my computer hardware since I have a Macbook Pro with plenty of RAM. Any help? Thanks.

First thing is always reboot the comp. I remember i had this problem once and it eventually resolved itself. If you still can't find a solution try reinstalling the main os files or whatever.
