Is there any way to change the digital crown scroll direction? I always turn off "natural" on my MacBook too.

Not sure it would make sense to 'invert' the digital crown when you also have a touchscreen.

Maybe the option is there though?

I think OP means the digital crown?

Sorry yeah, that's what I meant. I'll edit for clarity.

I've searched but can't find any options for it - don't know if I'm just missing something though.

I understood that.

Wouldn't it be weird to scroll down a list:

Push up with your finger on the screen
Or scroll down on the digital crown?

Seems conflicting on such a small device where both inputs are next to each other.

Maybe just me.

Have you used it yet? Maybe wait until that to worry about this. I think the way it works makes perfect sense and always hated the reverse scroll of the PC mouse.

Yeah I'm using it now. Every time I scroll I do it the wrong way lmao. I'm sure I'll get used to it but just didn't know if it could be changed. I like to pull down to go down, if that makes sense.

Maybe we are thinking differently. Dragging down on the crown makes it move exactly the same way as dragging your finger down the screen?

People never agree on what up and down means when talking about displays. I usually ask people to scroll down which to me means show me the TOP of the window and most move it the other way.

It's probably easier to change it back on your MacBook, as 'natural' is how the Watch, iPhone, iPad scroll.

This scroll direction is making me crazy! I'm rolling the crown the wrong way every time. Just spent 20 minutes on the phone with Apple Support and they could find no settings to change this. I suppose we just need to get used to it.

I'm an inverted mouse user, but for whatever reason this scroll just doesn't mesh with my brain :S To me, when that little doohickey is in the top right corner indicating you can scroll down for more options, I should be scrolling the crown towards myself -- the same way I want that little doohickey to go!

So stop looking at the "doohickey" and look at the content. Push the content the way you want it to go. Apple only has the tiny scrollbar to show you that there's more content down there. It's not meant to indicate scroll direction and hasn't been for the last 7 years.

Heh, I've noticed that too. For me, I used Windows for years and when I got my first Mac on Snow Leapord I actually found myself trying to "scroll naturally" before I even knew about Lion. I don't know why.

Once Apple made that the default I fell in love with it, but it is confusing for some people. Some people think it's natural, some thing it's inverted.

You could scroll behind the Digital Crown. If you can fit your finger between it and your hand. Then it will spin like you want it to. :)
