Scroll down & up shortcuts on iPhone

I know that to scroll back up to the top of the screen you tap the top bar on the iPhone BUT is there a shortcut to go the other way?

I've been reading a blog that's on a single page and the newest entries are at the foot of the page - it takes minutes if you scroll down in conventional way.
