Now we all know that the scroll button two-button mouses scroll up and down.

However, if you hold down shift and then scroll, you can go left and right.

Wow.

Why doesn't Apple list all these things down? For example, I never would've known about the keyboard combo for switching Safari tabs if I didn't read these threads.

Thanks for the tip, it will surely make things easier in a lot of ways. :)

that's awesome! when i bought my mouse i thought it supported tilt scrolling but now i dont need that. all i have to do now is remember which direction scrolls left and which goes right...

Are you sure it's Crtl-PgUp and Down? It doesn't work on my iBook.

On an iBook, PgUp is Fn-PgUp. So Ctrl-PgUp is Fn-Ctrl-PgUp. ;)

Sorry, I shoulda put that in the first time. It came up in another thread and it was the second time I was writing it in today, so I got lazy. :D But again, that's FF not Safari.

Didn't work either. But I did Google it: Ctrl-Tab to move from left to right, and Ctrl-Shift-Tab to move right to left!

That's so whack. They both work for me -- what I said and what you said. I didn't know about the shortcuts you listed. They're much better -- I can do them one-handed! :D
