Scroll Wheel of Microsoft Mobile Mouse 3000 Does Not Work with Mac

I installed the Microsoft software on my Mac and have scrolling enabled, but I cannot get the scroll wheel to scroll. I think the scroll wheel is not defective because pressing it brings up expose, a command that I set. Any help to my problem would be appreciated.
