This is a mac mini fresh from the factory. The OS and software were manually installed and updated, I didn't use a time machine backup or the migration assistant.

I know how to show/hide showbars from general settings menu, the problem is that they are invisible.
This is when scrolls are set to permanently displayed. It just shows a white empty area. This is from Google's search results page. On any of my other macs, there would be a dark grey rounded rectangle at the bottom.

This is when the scrolls are set to auto.

Also, Top Sites are also not showing up on this machine when on a new tab.
It shows up if i have new tabs to display Top Sites only, but if I wanted it to have bookmarks and top sites like my other machines, it's not doing it.

Is there some kind of hidden setting that I'm missing?
If it's some kind of corrupted setting file, where can I find it?
