Scrolling feels off in News App

Anyone else find the scrolling in the News App on Mojave to feel a bit odd/off?
 
It isn't smooth, especially in full screen. Seems Apple didn't spend much time optimizing the app for Mac since my cpu fan gets loud just from scrolling.
