I have been having a problem where I load the Macrumors homepage, attempt to scroll downwards (on my mighty mouse) and it won't go past a certain point about 3 cms down from the top. The scroll ball still works, as it will go up and down within the small portion at the top. It simply will not go beyond the point. If I use the mouse to manually scroll, it will work, and move past that point no problem from either direction.

I have only noticed it on this site, but that may only because it is usually very long, and maybe has certain characteristics that cause this.

Any ideas about what this is???

I've found you can't scroll past some of the ads, but it you move your mouse to the side of the ads, it scrolls OK. Could this be it?

Flash ads do this, because when you try to scroll, the mouse scroll movement will be sent to the flash plugin instead of the browser
