I just installed it on my 2017 Pro (not messing with my M1 until I get a better picture of Ventura's stability), and although I haven't had any scrolling issues (I use the two finger trackpad method instead of the arrow keys to avoid the stutter), some things have definitely felt much more sluggish than they did on Monterey. The settings pages in particular have not felt great, most pages have been freezing for 2-4 seconds before loading.

RAM usage was surprisingly light for Ventura (about 3GB on a cold boot), so at least there is a positive.

I have been facing the same problem of scrolling in safari, photos, finder and even the system preferences menu which shows to much lag as compared to previous version. Do you have any solution?

It seems like more and more of the OS uses catalyst and it's ruining it. Settings app is one example, but menu bar is another. I live in a big apartment building. I have maybe 50 wifi networks to choose from. Scrolling them in menu bar feels like opening reddit on an iPhone 4. How is it possible that a modern computer is struggling to scroll 50 items? And god forbid you click something there. Click on anything in control centre and you'll see a beautiful animation, but only 3 seconds after the click. If the whole OS eventually runs on catalyst I might have to abandon ship.

I found a solution on my MacBook Pro 16 M1 Max, the update sets your power to low power mode, set it to automatic or high power to get smooth promotion back!

I’m squatting on Monterey 12.6 for the foreseeable future 🥳

Until I see a 180 concerning these issues people are bringing up

Also I’m not sure if I like the way Siri on Ventura comes up now when invoked. I like the box that materializes with Siri on Monterey. And now it’s just the glowing orb, no box.

doesn't seems to work with mine... hoping for stable update from apple soon

Same, settings is very slow. It's a MF-ING M1 PRO and it takes 2 seconds to react to a click? In settings?? What do we even expect of developers.
Glad to see that I'm not the only one with this issue.

I thought it was my humble Macbook 12" 2017 but if happen with a M1.. Come on Apple

Its not an Apple or Ventura issue, I have a base MBA M1 and the scrolling is smooth as in Monterey or Big Sur.

I'm avoiding Ventura like the plague. 12.6.1 for me for the foreseeable future. Maybe when 13.4 drops I'll test it on a test partition before I upgrade my main M1 Max installation.

I was talking about the settings panel. Is slow and lagged.

The scrolling is good in safari and I really appreciate that but man, that settings panel is a caos

just give a check on the launchpad section, the animations shows lag

I didn't encounter any issues with scrolling or unresponsiveness in Safari or settings when I tried out Ventura on our late 2017 MacBook Pro. Going to install it later tonight on my M2 Mac, but so far it's been a smooth experience.

After upgrading to Ventura, most of the time scrolling is smooth, but sometimes a bit laggy on my 2017 MacBook Pro, and not only in Safari, but almost in EVERY APP, e.g. Pages, Launchpad. I guess it's a system-wide bug which causes losing frames.
BTW the settings app definitely needs some work cause scrolling on the sidebar is quite slow.

Same issue here. Running on an M1 MBP Max and the entire UI just feels broken. TBH, I really don't know if I can take this much longer.

Open legacy source install on a 2015 27" 5K of Ventura:
Never had such a fantastic screen resolution and smoothness before!!
Just needed glasses for installing in preset font size on 5k
🤓

i use a Logitech G305 with Ventura and the scroll with Safari is pretty horrible. I´ve tried to search some extension or app but not success. i think Apple has a big problem they doesn´t want to solve.

(If i use the same mouse in Windows the scrooll is great and without G-Hub logitech software!!!)

i just find this app (free) and very happy:

Fantastic. Hope this helps.
My congratulations to the developer. thanks.
