I have an old 10.4 mac that I just use for basic browsing, nothing special. I might upgrade for college or get Windows I don't know. But this has been bugging me forever. I have the regular mouse that comes with mac and I know I'm not the only one with this problem but the scroll wheel won't go up or down. It moves but it just slides and does nothing on the computer. I don't have 60 bucks to spend on a mighty mouse, and scrolling left and right works, so I was wondering if there was a way I could make scrolling left go up, and scrolling right go down??

Sorry, but I don't think that's possible by just changing settings, etc. You should check the preferences under system preferences>mouse for your mouse, but I think you'd have to do stuff in terminal to make it work (if possible at all), which is beyond my competence. :)
