Scrolling Photo Library

Is there a faster way to scroll through a large photo library rather than flicking? It seems like you should be able to grab the scroll bar and move through more quickly. I've been trying to make playlists of smaller groups so that I don't have to go through them all to get to the most recent.

what i do is i have the pictures setup in folders.... it shows 'picture library' where they are all in together, but it also shows each folder so i can just pick which set i want
... do this first on your computer sort all pictures into individual folders. then sync the folders to the iphone
