So all of a sudden, the entire multi-touch top surface doesn't scroll or swipe left/right. But it still recognizes the 2 finger tap for mission control, clicks, and has cursor movement. Has anyone had this problem?

Take your mouse and roll around the ball on a piece of paper to get the dirt out.

Sounds silly, but it works ultimately.

Do you have MagicPrefs installed? If not, get it (it rocks). There's a setting in there where you can enable/disable scrolling in various directions. I accidentally discovered this the other day when I wondered why scrolling wasn't working no matter what I did.
