I got an annoying issue here at the moment. I'm working at a document, a homework as it were for Cisco Academics at school. I have to write a general document about Windows 7 (what's new, what's good, what's bad, etc...).
I want to do it professionally looking, and therefore I use a page background (made in PhotoShop), along with small touches like word usage and general readability. I just don't want to bring my professor a plain non-formatted text.
All seems to work well, and all does. Just when you want it to work. Except for one thing: scrolling and zooming has an immense delay. The kind of delay that you scroll once, and have to wait 1-2 seconds before it scrolls. Same with zooming.
This does not happen when opening a new document with the current document closed, so I expect it's a heavy document (520 KB, just checked). But it also doesn't happen when scrolling in other applications like Finder, Preview and Firefox while the current document is opened.
I quickly recorded this issue for further explanation at a framerate of 30 fps.

I can insert text without delay. I can ... uh... make a line? Okay. Without delay. I can move it without delay. But I can't scroll, zoom in or out without delay.
Does anyone else has this problem?
For more info, I use a MacBook from mid 2008, with 2 GB RAM and an Intel GMA X3100, if that is of any use.
Thanks for reading. I hope for an answer.
