SCSI for old Umax Powerlook II scanner

A good scanner in its day and still works. Do I need to find a G4 with an old SCSI card? I knew I should have hung on to some old stuff we just got rid of, but we have a space problem.

Is there a SCSI to USB 3 or Firewire adapter? Then I could use with my Mac Pro or Mac mini.

There exists a USB 2.0 to SCSI adapter, the Ratoc U2SCX:

It's discontinued, but you can find them for sale on Ebay every now and then. I can confirm it works to connect an old Minolta Dimage Scan Elite film scanner to a Mac running OS X, and driving the scanner with VueScan.

It's probably cheaper in the long run to buy a new scanner that has USB.
