Hi everyone,

I recently brought a Mac Plus back from the dead by re-programming one of the ROM chips.

I'd now like to use an external SCSI HD as the boot device (I don't have a floppy boot disk).

After formatting the drive using Lido, I have tried installing System 7 on the SCSI HD using my PowerMac G4 running macOS 9.2 (which has a PCI SCSI card). The installation is successful, but the Mac Plus refuses to boot from it - all I get is the floppy with a solid (non-flashing) question mark.

I believe the install is 'blessed' because the system folder has a small happy mac icon on it when looking at the disk on the G4.

The drive is terminated and the SCSI ID is set to 3.

I believe I'm missing something obvious to make the drive bootable....but I'm at a loss as to what to do next...

Any pointers on this are much appreciated!
