SD card as storage expansion?

Can you use a fast SD card to expand the storage of a MacBook Air? I.e. put your iTunes music in there?

Yes, but you get what you pay for. Anything other than a class 10 is going to be noticeably slow - even a class 10 is slow but I accept that for 32 extra GB for my macbook air.
