Hi all

I would like to buy SD Card reader like this video but could it connect using USB-A to USB-C adapter to Macbook Pro ?

Thank

Yes, I believe it would. Make sure what you buy gives a rated speed (5Gbps). There are adapter that only charge a device (I bought one I thought would transfer files but would not).

I then bought this:
https://www.microcenter.com/product/612960/j5create-usb-type-c-31-to-type-a-adapter---2-pack
which worked great. Two of them will barely plugs in side-by-side on a MBP.

They also have this:

OP:

THIS
is what you need for the card reader above:

Be aware that if you use a "small adapter" such as the MicroCenter plugs that justashooter mentioned in reply 2, it may "block" the adjacent USBc port on the laptop.
I have a 2018 Mini, and found that the small adapters did that with the ports on the back of the Mini.

The short dongle/adapter cables DO NOT BLOCK adjacent ports...
