SD card slot, best use ?

i miss the expresscard a lot on the 15", but i need as much portable CPU power as possible so upgraded to i7.

• i was using expresscard slot for CF reader for my DSL
• now i never use the SD slot

any adapter from CF -> SD port ?
or USB port -> SD slot adapter ?

how do you use it ?

Its just card reader, its nowhere near as versatile like usb or express card. There some standards, that SD slot can support, like Wifi network interface shaped like SD card (SDIO interface), mostly used in PDAs, but, from what i know, MBP SD readers doesnt support SDIO. The internal SD card slot is connected via USB (internally, of course), so its end device, like external card reader connected to USB.

So, you cant use CF in SD card slot with any kind of adapter or converter. Maybe there is some weird chinese converter (i even saw something like memory stick to SD converter), but nothing that i know about. Its pity that we cant use express card, because somebody could expect that from a pro machine...
