SD Card slot trouble

When I insert an SD card....nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I bring this thing in?

It doesn't show up in finder or a photo application for import?

Do other SD cards work?

Check disk utility.

If all those fail take it to the genius bar.

Is it suppose to open in the Finder when you insert it?

When i insert nothing happens!!

I guess its hardware issue

I'm having the same issue,

Tried 4-5 different SD cards, I'd literally insert and re-insert (har har that's what she said) multiple times and the computer doesn't even recognize the blasted card, and then somehow by chance, it does recognize it and then it works.

I thought perhaps I just wasn't putting it in far enough (har har that's what she said again!), but it turns out it works on the first try every time on my friends 13 and my other friends 15. Sooooo yeah, weird. Figured it was hardware related but I'm too lazy to book an appointment with apple lol,

I have an expresscard-to-sd adapter in my express card slot, and the SD card also doesn't always show up in OSX. But for me it's as easy as taking the adapter out, and plugging it back in again, and it starts working.

Since yours is built-in, have you tried restarting the computer? Not a permanent solution, but it may help.
