iPad SD card to external hard drive via ipad 3

Hi all, I'm going on a trip and will be taking pictures and movies (RAW, jpeg, avi).

Is there a way to use the camera kit connector to transfer from the sd card to my external hard drive? Would prefer it to be direct so I don't have to move it to my (jailbroken) ipad first, but if not that's fine. No wifi access where I'm traveling to unfortunately.
