SD cards in 2015 MBP

I am awaiting the arrival of my 2015, 13" rMBP.

Which SD cards will work in the reader?

Apple's site says it has an SDXC card slot, so does that mean only SDXC cards will work?

I would think the slot would be "backward compatible" with older SD cards as well.

Why not just try them and see?

SDXC, by the written standard, has to be backwards compatible. So, yes, it will work with any card/speed.

I've never found an SD card that doesn't work in mine. YMMV.

Because I haven't gotten my new MBP yet, and I am buying a digital recorder and trying to figure out which type of SD card to buy...
