SD slot doesn't work

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.5, and I have a problem with the slot sd card. It always worked properly, but now it doesn't work anymore. The card doesn't mount on desktop! I don't know why! I also tried another sd card but it doesn't work as well. I don't know what to do! Help, please?

Check Finder Preferences to make sure the option to show on desktop is ticked.

I have a iMac 27 thats the same used to work then went on the wonk now it a no go

I think its something to do with the latest updates as the changed the info details

I will bet it does not show up in about this mac either

IMHO the last update 10.6.5 did something to the firmware


BTW I have done SMC and Pram resets till i am blue in the face . There is a long thread on apples site about it

I did, and it's ticked. Do you think I should go to an Apple Store and ask for assistance there?

If you think it is a hardware issue or not and it is still under warrantee by all means bring it in to an Apple store. Make an appointment to talk with a genius beforehand.
