SDHD combined Video (like from iTunes Store)

Hi,

I've noticed that Apple has a way to merge 2 files in iTunes.
When you download a HD TV Show from the iTS you will get 2 files. A SD and a HD version.
However.. this file is only displayed once in iTunes. Depending on the device the correct Version of the file is used.


Has anybody any idea on how to do this?

Any documentation from Apple?

I seems to be more an iTunes issue and not anything which is related to mp4. What I first thought.

I did a quick test.

Deleting the iTunes Library. So iTunes creates a new one from iTunes Library xml.

After that the 2 files showed separately.
