I just bought a 64GB ScanDisk Ultra PLUS SDXC UHS-I Card to use on my Macbook Pro, but as I push it in it won't go all the way.
Was told by Best Buy it works on a Macbook Pro.

Is there a specific size or brand that I need to buy?
Thanks!

Full-size SD cards will not fit fully in any Mac.

PNY and Transcend make chopped-off SD cards that are custom-made to fit flush into a Mac's SD slot.

Thanks for your responses.
It works, just didn't know about it only going halfway.
Not bad for $50.

One more question:
Do I have eject like any other external drive to avoid it being corrupted?

The SD card reader in Macs are not supposed to fit the whole card inside, only about half way.

A couple of companies make custom cards that are designed to fit flush to the outside of the laptop:

B&H is a toy store for me, without a doubt.
I buy stuff from them.

Yup. Click on the drive icon in Desktop and hit Cmd+E, or eject it from the Finder sidebar.
