With my stock hard drive whenever I would move the laptop around it would make a click noise as the drive would lock up to prevent damage.
With this new seagate drive it just makes a whirring noise when I move the computer around. If I tilt it side to side quickly it is pretty loud and noticable...
So the drives that advertise that gshock feature are not compatible with mbp's... and the drives that don't have that feature just keep spinning... so what is it that the stock hard drives have and how come that doesn't work with other drives than the stock mac drives?
I usually leave my computer in sleep mode when I take it to school and don't actually shut down and i'm worried now that I may have hard drive issues if it doesn't lock up properly when it gets moved suddenly.
