Hi

I'm considering getting a Seagate 750gb Hard Drive ST3750640AS for my G5 - second slot but will probably use as startup.

I've heard that previous 500gb Seagate 7200.9 drives with SSC can have problems waking up from a sleep. Since this is a 7200.10 does anyone know if this drive has the same problem ?

If anyone has one of these drives installed or have seen a mac review of someone installing one - could they please reply to say if it works?

Thanks
David

I asked Seagate about the SSC and got this reply

Hello David,

The new, Barracuda 7200.10 SATA drives will automatically have SSC set for
disabled status from the factory. Also the 1.5 Gbit/s jumper will
automatically be enabled from the factory as well.

Regards,
