Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB - RAID ready?

Im about to buy a NewerTech Guardian Maximus RAID-1 enclosure

And spoke to OWC who said they use the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 1.5TB in their configurations. However i have heard lots of people saying these things die on them, and there is a firmware problem.

Are they ok to use?
