Hi All

Please help, I have searched for a solution for the last few weeks with no success.

I have a Seagate Central 4 TB and am having problems copying files onto it as I often get the following error message " The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found. (Error code -43)".
I don't get this message every time and I have had other error messages as well. Most of them are related to copying a file or file being used by another program. I have noticed that this problem is more likely to occur with larger files. If I try copy a large file or a directly (e.g. 2 or more GB) then it will fail and an error message will appear. But it can also happen with a small file, it seems sort of random.

I am using MacBook Pro mid 2012 with the most recent version of Maverick and have update the firmware on the Seagate. The Moden is a Netgear N600 with the most recent firmware.

I tried to get help from the Seagate call centre but the solution was to factory reset the hard-drive. I did this but the problem still occurs.

I have also noticed that sometime 'Finder' struggles to find/locate/connect with the Seagate central. To fix this I have created a 'shortcut' to one of the folders on the Seagate central. When I click this folder it make the Seagate central appear in the 'Finder'

Any suggestions would be great.
