Seagate external HD problem

I have a 2TB goflex seagatd external HD that i use for movies and music, when I drag a file from the HD to the trash and hit empty everything seems to delete normally, however when I eject the drive and plug it in at a later time, the trash can shows full with the files I tried to delete previously. If I try to delete the files again or even do a secure delete I get the same results, if I try and drag the files out of the trash and put them back into the trash can I get a error code-35.

I ran a dignostice test on the HD and it can back with normal results. Any ideas?!?!?!

have you tried right click move to trash then empty. before removing

Might be a dumb question, but how do you right click with a mac? My mac is just the mouse pad, and single button?

System Preferences > Trackpad > Secondary click

I assume "mouse pad" doesn't mean the pad you're resting your mouse on.

Holding down the 'Control' button while clicking the 'single button', is the same as Right Click
