Yes it shoud, if you want to rip the HDD out of the Seagate enclosure. You may damage the HDD in the process of doing so if you're not careful and its more than likely the enclosure will be destroyed upon doing so. Why not just buy a 2.5" HDD without the enclosure?

Hard to say because its height is unknown. MBPs can take up to 12.5mm HDs but e.g. the 1.5TB GoFlex is ~15mm so it does not fit. Not sure about the 1TB as it's not mentioned but its external dimensions are the same as 1.5TB's.

This is also true, forgot to mention that, thanks.

Really? What would I need this for? I did replace an HDD of MBP's a couple times, but did not need anything other than screw drivers.

According to Seagate website, the physical dimensions are exactly the same for 1TB and 1.5TB so guess I'm out of luck. :(

The Seagate one won't fit. It's thicker than the WD 1TB.

WD, or Samsung's new 1TB will fit.
WD is thicker than the Samsung's one though.
