Hi guys,
I am new here in the forums but I've been a visitor of MacRumors since iPhone 3G era :). I have an iMac now and I have a question regarding Seagate GoFlex 2TB USB3.0/2.0.

Here is my setup:
1) Airport Extreme
2) Seagate Hard Drive connected to USB in the AirPort Extreme.

(The hard drive was formatted on 4 partitions)

The hard drive has a wall plug and it is not just using the USB to power up. My question is if I am not using it, should I turn it off when it is not in use? Or, it is fine not to because from what I am seeing in the forums it has a feature of going to auto-sleep mode? Will the auto-sleep feature will still work even if I have reformatted the hard drive?

Why are you asking? What is the concern?

If you are concerned about power consumption (don't be). If you are concerned about power outages causing data corruption the answer is yes; you should unmount it, at the very least during a storm, or get a battery backup for it.

Cheers
