Seagate GoFlex Drive Issue

Even with EC, my GoFlex 2TB drive still unmount itself randomly. Also hangs the iMac (Late 2013) when you reboot. You have to unplug the USB on the GF drive to stop the Mac from hanging. It is a self powered drive. This time I'm plugging the GF directly to one of the USB ports on the iMac to see if it stops ejecting itself. Also to see if it stops hanging the iMac when I have to restart it. Anyone else having issues with the 2TB Seagate GoFlex External drive? It's the one with a Silver finish. See image.

I have the older, black Seagate FreeAgent drive that unmount randomly. The only way to stop it is to use the Seagate Storage Driver. I do not have your model of the drive. Mine does not freeze when booting up though. This problem is annoying enough that I am contemplating on whether to remove it and put it in an another external case.
