i'm having an issue with a seagate drive.
i've tried restarting the computer and unplugging the drive completely.

when i try to locate the drive through Finder it doesn't show up at all.

it will show up in disk utility but it only gives me the option to unmount and eject. when i click on the drive, i can access the actual files through "mount point" but it's way more convenient to be able to access the drive through finder.

my other two hard drives show up fine with no problems so it seems to be an issue with this specific drive.

could i have possibly altered the settings of the drive? what would cause this?

any advice?
