Seagate replacement drive

I just got my drive replaced and the new one is MUCH louder has anyone else noticed this?

I don't have the recall but it's probably just luck (or un-luck) of the draw. It's a HDD and some are going to be louder than others. I also wouldn't be surprised if they changed them somehow to prevent further failure and that results in more noise.

Same here. Mine is a Western Digital Black. I've used them in the past and they seem to be pretty solid, but they are noisy. The rest of the computer is so quiet, and the drive is so close to me physically, that the noise is a real nuisance.

same i got western digital also and yea haha its a contact irritating noise lol
