I bought a seagate 500GB SATA (300) drive installed it internally and am using a Macsense SATA (150) PCI converter card. Using it for itunes and a 20 GB partion for the OS 10.3.9.
Everything ran fine for a few days then the music stopped in the middle of a song and the drive started making clicking noises. It would restart and then stop again. I switched SATA controller connections to the second internal connector and it ran for a day and then started clicking and stopped.
IS this a bad drive or maybe a controller? The drive is stuck right now and I tried to do a repair and this is the error message.
What should I do? I've had it over 15 days from Frey's Electronics. I know I can take it back for exchange within 15 days but not sure rules if it's bad.
