Hi,

i’m searching for a good hub usb-c for my new ipad pro.

i purchased two that met my requirement:
- SD slot
- HDMI 4k 60hz
- jack
- PD
- USB 3.0

However the speed is really disappointing.
I read and watch a lot of info and i discovered that the Ipad pro is not really matching the speed of USB 3.2/TB4 in writing to external devices.
The write speed to external device seems to be cap around 100MB/s.

With that in mind, back to my hub search, i test the hub with my Ipad AND A windows pc and the write speed to my SD card (tested at 80/90MB/s write speed) plugged to those hubs is either 17MB/s or 30MB/s…
That’s my disappointment!

A few hub speed were tested on the internet but none of them are available.

So any of you have hubs and have good results in write speed with their hubs?

thanks

I'm using this one from Anker:
Sadly it’s not travel friendly as it needs a power plug.

Looking for a good usb hub that has a good sd write speed as well. I currently have the VAVA 11 in usb c hub and it's not good lol

I've had a good experience with my NOVOO 8 in 1 USB-C Hub. It has 3 USB-A 3.0 ports, a gigabit Ethernet port, a USB-C PD port, SD and TF Card slots, and an HDMI output. The only problem is that the HDMI output is at 4k @30Hz which is lower than you are looking for.
