Search function/Setup iphone from android

I must just be missing it....not sure how.... but is there a search function in each forum? Was going to try that before posting

My real question is I've got a used Xr coming (phone, charger and cable only) and am a long time android user (Currently a S7) and was wondering if there is a way to import contacts from your gmail or will it be a manual thing?
Any other top tips for first time iphone user?
