Search in mail issues

I can't seem to get mail to search all inboxes. Yes I have all mailboxes selected. I only get results from a few months back. When I go to that folder I see a bunch of items that should have shown up in my search. Any Suggestions? On Lion

I'm having the exact same problem. Mail search in Lion is broken, big time. Lots of threads in Apple Support Communities as well......no answer yet.....
