On my iPad Pro entering any setting name in the Search field just gets a “no results” display.

I had this issue at one point, but it is working again. Maybe reboot?

When I was experiencing this, needed to have an exact match for what I was typing for it to find it. “Tru” would not return any setting, but searching “True Tone” worked.

I did reboot the ipad last night. Saw your post in my email notifications so I tried it again. As soon as I type the first letter in the search field the screen flashes and the “No Results” appears.

Weird. But if you keep typing, does it show the result eventually? Just wondering if it is the same bug or something different.

No. But when I mentioned that the screen flashes, for a brief second, too fast for me to be sure what I’m seeing, it seems like there is a results list (possibly) which disappears to be replaced by “No Results”. But a list of some kind, could just be the headings that are normally in the sidebar, appears for a split second before “No Results” appears.

Mine is working, even with 2 letters entered, eg Tr will bring back results.

For whatever reason it seems to have healed itself. This morning I checked and Search found whatever I entered into the field, no “No Results Found” verbiage. I didn’t do any thing. FBA does indicate a few reports. Weird, but I’m ok with that.

I wonder if some regional-dependent settings like Apple Intelligence need to ping a server to check if they are enabled/allowed. Some kind of issue on Apple’s servers would then cause an issue like this when searching to appear one day and resolve the next without any changes on device. Just a guess.

Don’t have a clue, but it’s still working today.
