I travel a lot and so I have my more critical apps locked down via downtime (to prevent someone from snatching my phone when it is unlocked and then getting into one of those apps). For these apps I have to enter a second pin every time I want to use them.

But the annoying bit is that since iOS 17 when I search for an app (by swiping down) most of the time it refuses to show me any apps that are currently "locked" by downtime. Sometimes it will show me the app for a split second before hiding it again. The only way I can launch these apps is to find the icon or to go to the app drawer (or whatever the correct name is) and then search there. Not a show stopper but mildly annoying.

I know this is probably a very very very (very) unique use case, but does anyone have any experience with, or ideas about, this?
